Privacy Statement
ActionMessage has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate its firm commitment to your privacy. This document discusses the gathering and dissemination practices for the Web site at http://www.ActionMessage.com and for ActionMessage®. Questions regarding this statement should be directed to the ActionMessage site coordinator at webmaster@ActionMessage.com. This statement discloses the privacy practices for the ActionMessage service. Knowledge of such practices will empower users to make an informed decision about giving out their personal information. This policy will help you understand the following:
What ActionMessage Does ActionMessage delivers marketing campaigns, newsletters and product offerings via email for our clients. In the process of delivering email, ActionMessage recognizes the URL that was clicked, and records some information about your computer, such as the browser, operating system and IP address. In some cases clients provide ActionMessage with information about the email recipients such as first name, last name, address and zip code as well as other demographics and psychographics. ActionMessage uses this information to target the offer and make the content more relevant with personalization of the message.
ActionMessage may use a feature of your browser to set a "cookie" on your computer. This allows us to measure and report the click through rate on emails delivered, as well as the pass-along rate (how many times an email recipient passed along an email to another person, but not anything about the actual recipients of the pass along) and the buy rate (an optional feature that allows ActionMessage to track the return on investment of a campaign). It also allows ActionMessage to deliver email that is more relevant to the email recipient by tracking all emails sent to a specific email address so that each email recipient is not bombarded by offers.
Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user, as the cookie is stored without any identifiable or encrypted information. In other words, if the cookie file were to be obtained by some means, there is no simple analysis that would lead to the email address embedded in the cookie. If for some reason you would rather not take advantage of the benefits made possible with cookies, most browsers allow you to reject cookies or to choose which cookies to accept on a case by case basis.
Cookies are also used when customers login to our system to manage their campaign administration sessions.
Security for ActionMessage
Access to computer data and files at ActionMessage are secured by password protected services. Our network is protected by a firewall designed to prevent unauthorized access.
Privacy Statement for www.ActionMessage.com
ActionMessage uses visitor Web site IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information. Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to our customers. The customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Demographic and profile data are also collected at our site.
Our online surveys ask visitors for contact information (like their email address) and demographic information (like their zip code, age, or income level). The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.
ActionMessage does not sell or rent out the customer mailing lists.
Privacy Statement for ActionMessage
The ActionMessage also stores database lists from our clients. These lists contain email addresses and other
demographic information. A client's list is never shared with any other clients, and is regarded as a confidential
asset of
our client. Confidentiality of the client list is the top priority.
ActionMessage can track whether the email recipient supports HTML email in their email client, as well as whether an HTML email message has been opened or previewed. ActionMessage cannot track the open rate on text-only email messages. This capability is used only to deliver the best content to the recipient, and the recipient always has control to override the "HTML Capable" setting in the ActionMessage database by contacting the client whom the campaign has been deployed.
Information regarding the activity of email recipients is only reported to the client who deployed the email through ActionMessage. Information about specific email recipients is only shared with the client who owns the list on which the email recipients email address originally appeared.
ActionMessage does not sell or rent out the mailing list of our clients without the consent of our client.
Security
The ActionMessage Web site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
